Arms Smuggling Ring Busted in Poland

A spokeswoman for the Justice Ministry in Warsaw announced on Sunday that Polish police arrested around 23 suspected members of an international crime ring for illegal weapons smuggling in central and southern Poland. Thy were allegedly working with the Italian mafia.

Officers from the Central Investigation Bureau (CBS), the state body responsible for fighting organized crime in Poland, spearheaded the investigation. The suspects are accused of illegal weapons trading and other undisclosed crimes. It has also been reported that weapons and explosives were secured by the police during the arrests and follow up searches of the suspected gangsters' flats.

Well, I'm not one with huge sources into the shenanigans or arms traders, but didn't the Polish premier just return from negotiations with the Iraq premier related to arms deals? Of course the raids are a welcome prevention of organised crime which does nothing for peaceful relations between people, but the on a grander scale are the muscle-flexing of the Bush and Kaczynski regimes in their discussions related to the ABM system proposed for Poland. Any chance the CBS will raid Jurata next Friday and arrest these two dangers to Polish, European, and World Human Rights - and yes, if they could pick up the rest of them nutters in the G8 palace at Heilegendamn in Germany (the oligarch misleaders of world governance) then we would all be a lot safer.
